Artículo 11°.- Son bolivianos: 

Todos los que hasta el día han sido esclavos y por lo mismo quedarán de derecho libres, en el acto de publicarse la Constitucion; pero no podrán abandonar la casa de sus antiguos señores, sino en la forma que una ley especial lo determine.

 

1829 - Mexico via Vicente Guerrero’s act:

1°. Queda abolida la esclavitud en la República. 

2°. Son por consiguiente libres los que hasta hoy se habían considerado como esclavos. 

3°. Cuando las circunstancias del Erario lo permitan, se indemnizará a los propietarios de los esclavos, en los términos que dispusieren las leyes.

Article 15

In the Argentine Nation there are no slaves; the few that exist today are free from the

promulgation of this Constitution; and a special law shall regulate the indemnication

arising from this declaration. Any contract of purchase and sale of persons is a crime for

which those performing it, and the notary or of cial approving it, shall be responsible.

And slaves, by whatever manner they may be introduced, shall be free by the mere act

of setting foot in the territory of the Republic.
