The IEE is excited to support a community screening of BLACK Impact: The Leaders We Build
Join us for a short documentary screening and conversation exploring the realities of anti-Blackness in K–12 schools today. "BLACK Impact: The Leaders We Build" highlights the experiences of Black students navigating racism on campus and the gains made through the identity-affirming intervention of the Building Leaders and Activists with Collective Knowledge (BLACK) program. The film raises urgent questions: What protections are students entitled to under U.S. and California law? How can we build schools that truly support and uplift Black leaders of tomorrow? How can we build school communities in which all students experience a sense of belonging?
